Infinite recursive architecture

An old roommate of mine had decorated the walls of our apartment with the pages from M.C. Escher's Print Gallery.  All these years later, I'm beginning to think they may have had an affect on me. I remember thinking that I'd never seen the fusion between this type of art and photography before so I set out to experiment a bit.  Almost all of these photos were taken of buildings in Bangkok, Thailand.

Recently re-opened after sections were torched to the ground during the mini civil war last April and May. This atrium survived relatively unscathed. Little except charred ashes and a gaping hole were left. 
The following image was inspired by the work of M.C. Escher and utilizes the "Droste Effect". It was created using the Mathmap plugin for The Gimp.  This image is part of my Bangkok Print Gallery.
